Ask for Quiet: Soundproofed Rooms and VIP Lounge
Published
Quiet is not a mood here. It is something you can name in the booking message, days before you stand at the front desk. Mr Lee is the floor manager at Empire, the one who works the room board and the flow of guests; he has been in the trade over ten years and has worked this floor since the house opened on 15 May 2026. Guests almost always write the date and the headcount, he says, and the line least often written, yet easiest to grant, is simply “somewhere quiet”. Beyond the signature rooms, the house keeps private massage rooms in marble finish, soundproofed, and a VIP lounge with onyx pillars, both on the site’s own zone-by-zone guide. Quiet and lively are hardware here, not adjectives, which is why you can ask for one by name.
The quiet he means is a door that shuts
The zone guide gives the private massage rooms two attributes, marble finish and soundproofed, and for a guest that reduces to one thing: a room with a door that closes, not a curtain drawn around a bed. Quiet stops depending on luck or on picking the right hour; it becomes a space you can point at. Most people compare a Macau sauna on price bands and room types and never think to ask whether the room is quiet. Privacy here means only that, sound and a space that is yours for the evening.
The guest Mr Lee remembers best had come out of meetings that ran all day and wanted, above everything, to stop hearing voices. “He didn’t pick a room type. He just added a line saying he wanted somewhere quiet. That message is the easy kind for us.” The rest of the floor is on the facilities page.
How that line reaches the floor
It travels with the booking. Book through this site and the entry fee is waived, a free private car meets you anywhere in Macau and takes you back, and you choose 2 add-on services free of charge; add-ons are called “siu gung” in the house, the light extras that sit alongside the massage. Write four things, the date, your arrival time, how many of you there are, and the hotel or ferry terminal for the car, then add one sentence, quiet or lively. All five reach the house together, so the floor has read your preference before you push the door open. Details on the reservations page.
What the car spares you is the stretch of the night spent at the kerb in a queue. It waits where you asked for it, you get in, and the evening starts there. Your one line about quiet travelled ahead of you: while the car is still crossing town, someone on the floor is already building the night around it.
The other kind of request
The same evening brought Mr Lee the opposite sentence. A guest arrived with two friends and wanted the three of them to sit together a while, finish their conversation, and only then take separate rooms. That points at a different space: the VIP lounge, described on the site as onyx pillars and a private setting, where a few people can sit down together. “They weren’t after a loud night. They just wanted to sit for a bit first.” That, too, only needs to be in the message.
Two ends of one night
The spa baths, marble pools and jacuzzi, are the lively end: running water, people coming and going. The private massage rooms and the rest lounge are the quiet end. Wanting both in one night is ordinary, and the order is yours; the floor sequences it around the line in your message. The waterbed feature rooms and hotel-grade theme suites run on their own track, covered earlier in the room types guide.
Worth noting before you arrive
- Opening hours and therapist shifts are two separate things: open 24 hours, therapists on shift 14:00 to 06:00 the next morning.
- Location: Empire Sauna is at 154 & 162 Rua de Xangai, Hoi Kun Centre, on the Macau peninsula; location and pickup arrangements are on the getting here page.
- Booking through this site, three things: entry fee waived, free private car anywhere in Macau including the return trip, 2 add-on services of your choice free.
- Room preference: quiet or lively goes to the house with the rest, and whether it lands depends on which rooms open that night.
Money in one line: from the 18 September 2026 board the published range runs MOP 1,198 to 6,288, the entry minimum is MOP 1,198, and a 5% tourism tax and 5% service charge are added on top at checkout; tiers on the rates page, and how an evening moves through the house on the experience page.
One message is enough
The date, your arrival time, your headcount, the hotel or ferry terminal for the car, plus one sentence saying quiet or lively. There is no deposit, and if plans move, the date moves with them.
Mr Lee puts the limit plainly: “I can’t promise you one particular room before you get here; we only know the day’s room board on the day. What guests usually do is write the date and the headcount, then mention wanting quiet once they’re through the door, and by then I have far less to work with than if I’d known a day earlier.”
Frequently asked
Can I ask for a quiet room when I book?
Yes. Write “somewhere quiet” and that line travels to the floor with your booking. You are specifying a preference, not a particular room, and the floor works to that day’s room board.
What is the difference between a private massage room and a theme suite?
The private massage room is the marble-finish entry on the zone guide, and its point is what happens once the door shuts; the theme suites are the other room track, covered in the room types guide. Which of the two opens on the night is something we check with the house before you arrive.
What is the VIP lounge?
The site describes it as onyx pillars and a private setting, where a few friends can sit down together. There is no KTV on the premises, and sitting a while before taking separate rooms is the usual pattern.
Can I walk in without booking?
Yes, as usual. The three perks depend on booking through this site, and a room preference has to reach the house through us before the floor can build it into the night.
One last thing from Mr Lee: typing that preference takes a guest a few seconds, and it tells the floor a full day ahead who should be put behind the door that shuts. The room board changes daily and rates and shift hours can move month to month, so what counts is what this site confirms with the house, point by point, on the day you book. This site serves adult guests.
